Strachur

Strachur is located on the banks of Loch Fyne and borders the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. The picturesque village is situated on the main road between Dunoon (the capital of Cowal) and Loch Lomond. The most famous resident was Sir Fitzroy MacLean, one of the original founders of the SAS and author Ian Fleming’s inspiration for James Bond.
